About Us

Recovery is where real progress happens.

We created Climate Change to help you reset, recharge, and perform at your best.

Our traditional sauna helps reduce inflammation, relieve sore muscles, and improve circulation. The cold plunge speeds up recovery, reduces fatigue, and sharpens mental focus.

Hot and cold therapy supports faster recovery, injury prevention, and better overall performance. This space reflects our commitment to helping athletes train smarter, recover fully, and stay at the top of their game.

Meet The Staff

Matthew Haynes

Founder, Climate Change

I opened my first gym in 2018, and since then I’ve been immersed in growing the business and finding better ways to help people improve their health and fitness. Sauna has always been something I personally enjoyed when it was available in locker rooms, so initially I thought it would be cool to add a sauna and a cold plunge to the gym.

That idea completely evolved after I visited Sweat Scape in College Station and met with the owner to learn more about operating a sauna and cold plunge business. Much to my surprise, he hosted our meeting inside one of his private sauna suites, and we participated in his ritual: 20 minutes in the sauna followed by 3 minutes in the cold plunge, repeated for three rounds.

It changed my perspective entirely.

Not only did I love the format of the meeting—redefining what a “business meeting” could look like—but I was blown away by how I felt afterward. It satisfied my addiction I have towards exercise and it felt like I had trained hard without the physical wear and tear of a traditional workout. I left feeling AMAZING and convinced this needed to be more than just an add-on.

That’s when the vision shifted from offering “a sauna and a cold plunge” to a full-fledged, thoughtfully designed sauna and cold plunge experience!

Climate Change will feature 6 private, traditional dry saunas that reach 190°+ Fahrenheit (NOT INFRARED). These are real heat, high-temperature, performance-driven environments designed to deliver an unmatched experience. We will be one of the only facilities in Fort Worth offering this caliber of traditional sauna.

I am incredibly excited to bring this concept to Fort Worth. And selfishly? I can’t wait to use it regularly myself!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Contrast therapy is alternating heat (sauna) and cold (plunge) in a structured session. Many people use it to support recovery, reduce stress, and feel energized.

  • Many guests report improved relaxation, better sleep, stress relief, and a great post-session “reset.” People often use cold exposure for mood/energy, mental resilience, and post-workout recovery.

  • Most guests do 2–4 rounds of sauna + cold plunge, with a short rest in between. You can keep it gentle or build intensity depending on your goal.

  • We combine a thoughtful, human-centered approach with clear communication and reliable results. It’s not just what we do—it’s how we do it that sets us apart.

  • Traditional saunas are more suitable for our studio as they offer the classic high-temperature, full-room experience that consistently induces vigorous sweating and harmonizes seamlessly with cold plunge protocols. Infrared saunas, on the other hand, are unable to achieve the desired 170 degrees, which provide the most benefits.

  • You’ll have the private sauna for 60 minutes. The duration of your sessions will depend on your goals and comfort level.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.
